Safety & Hygiene Protocols

 

Your safety is of the highest importance to me at my Union Square teaching studio.

I am fully vaccinated, having received my bivalent booster in Sept 2022. Due to the nature of Alexander work, which involves sustained close contact, I will continue to maintain high safety protocols that significantly reduce risk of transmission.

At this time, I will only book in-person appointments for fully-vaccinated individuals.

My studio policy is to request that you bring a copy of your proof of vaccination to your first session, and I will show you my proof of vaccination as well. If you prefer, you may email a copy in advance at eleanor@eleanortaylorAT.com, and I can also provide my document in advance to you.

Online sessions will continue to be available for all students. If you are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, or otherwise have concerns about exposure to Covid-19, please do not come to the studio for in-person work. You may cancel the session without penalty (in this case only, my 24hr cancellation policy will be waived.) You will also have the option to have your session online.

About the studio:

  • My teaching studio is approx. 225 square feet with 12-foot ceilings and large windows that open. 

  • Windows will be open for circulation whenever possible, and fans will also be in use.

  • Air Purifier with True HEPA H13 grade Filter will be running at all times.

  • The Alexander Technique involves verbal and hands-on guidance. At any time you may opt out of hands-on work, and either one of us may choose to work at a distance and forego touch in any session.

  • All persons in the studio will wear masks.

  • I wash hands at the start of each lesson, and sanitizer will be available during the lesson.

  • Chair, table and other surfaces you may come in contact with will be disinfected regularly, and the studio will be continually aired out, with the purifier on its highest level and windows open.
